Hehe, alright guys. I know it's been said a lot of times, but hey
"This is my final box of the year '07!" woot!
This began way back in the final round of Ross/Techne's survival horror contest, I just didn't have the time to finish it. As it turns out, this ended up as my biggest project yet in terms of time, effort and layers :D
On the box, I wanted to give Resident Evil 4 a new fresh feel to it besides the purple and blue schemed official gcn and ps2 boxes respectively. I also wanted to give it a feel that reminds of the previous 3 games. Hence the red and dark color schemes. The front is modeled after the official, which is why the esrb and dev logos are in different places. That is the exact placing in the official. I really took my time on this one and I just love how it turned out in the end and I hope you'll appreciate it as well ;) Best viewed in full and enjoy!
It looks really nice but honestly I'm finding the front quite boring for such an action game. Personally I'd like it more if you could blend a few extra things into the front but it's up to you.
#6, When I was about 90% done, I was gonna show you. But I didn't think you'd like it :(
#9 & 12 Thanks for the crit, E_G and Techne ;) But after reflecting during the design process and survival horror games in general. I realized that the atmosphere is just as important as the "action" which what I was going for in particular when designing the box.
Update! I enhanced the front while at the same time brightening it by virtue of textures. Added and changed some minor game info on the back for officiality's sake. + A bunch of other minor stuff :) Enjoy.
This, is, AWESOME! 5/5

so much for your smg box, ross. :P wawawa

#39, Lawl, I don't think that's possible; Giving LK the highest rating there is would still be under-rating him.
