This is my newest box, and my first retro box. I think it turned out pretty good. Comments and rates are welcome.

Super job. Very artistic, and pretty darn official looking.

It's...different. Shouldn't the back be in Japanese though?

Thanks for all of the comments and favs everybody. #5, I thought about making the text on the back Japanese, but a lot of the other Famicom boxes on the site are in English, so I just did the same.

If any of you are wondering, no this isn't a real SNES game, it's a game coming out on Wiiware later this year. Since it looked so much like a retro game, I decided to make a retro box for it.

Hey pretty cool. I like your use of the retro style! Just one question, why are people using this temp when its incorrect??

Either way, I'll fav that shit for sure!

#11, thanks for the comment and fav. This is my first template that I made, do I need to change anything on it?

Well it really comes down to who made it and when. There seems to be 4 major temps used for the SF. The first one link takes a clsoe design to yours except the logos are on oposites sides at the top. The second link sees the dev logo at the bottom over a banner with the console logos at the top and no banner. These first two boxes can vary slightly due to developer and their preference of templates. Check out eBay and you'll see what i mean.

The third link was part of a temp design the came in to effect later in the consoles life. This temp design can also be used upright too. No banners, just a small dev logo and a SF logo.

The fourth one link seems to be a Nintenod temp. From what i can tell, Nintendo had their own temp design that stayed the same until they adopted the temp without banners. link shows how Nintendo themselves took on the same temp.

Other than that, the other thing i recommend is, like i said, checking out super famicom games on eBay as they have heaps and generally half the games will have boxes. Plus, you can get a look at how the temp differed slightly between developers. Hope it helps and keep up with the SF stuff!

Also the Japanese text you have as blue is also usually the game's name in Japanese. Japanese Wikipedia is a good way to get the name in Japanese. Japanese Google isn't bad either but Japanese Wikipedia accepts english searchs and returns them in Japanese text. Plus, its easier to identify the correct Jap text.

All you may need is the Japanese Character Set update for your Operating System and your right to go!
