My first comp box for the custom game comp.
This is a spinoff of Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
The template is by me and if you want an editable version (in .xcf or psd) just PM me.

The front isn't bad, but I think the back is too much text and not enough Screens and similar things.

I'd love to see you guys be more imaginative, rather than just making a game box for an imaginary entry into an already existing game series.

I had this Idea a long time ago... But yours is wicked! And my early works were just awful.

#6- totally agreed. You really shouldhave thought about this. I gave you permission to make sequels and stuff, but i did strongly discourage it. The comp was to make a custom game, by which the challlenge was to make a TOTALY custom game. I think you may have a big disadvantage in the comp...
however, ignoring the comp, your box is pretty good, although i think you could spice up the back a little...:)

#6,8, Yeah I know it's related to a series but I started working on this before i joined the comp so I just used this for the comp.

#9 maybe you could use a more interesting layout...? or maybe make your screens more interesting with cool borders and stuff. Maybe have a fiddle around with the items on the back, re-placing them and stuff, and then see if you get any ideas... you can update as many times as you like for the comp, so you can make as many modifications as you like! :)

That tagline is terrible. No offense, but it really is. I don't like the way that the text is spread everywhere on the back, it makes it look messy. However, I love the screenshot borders and the editing on all the yoshis is amazing! Way better than what I could do! The only other thing is that there are a few too many yoshis on the front. Try deleting a row or two :)

has anyone else noticed that construction is spelled wrong in the tag line and that it has been spelled wrong in every version?
But the rest of the box is great 4/5 + fav
