Hey guys. Here's my newest box: Killzone 3. Now, to some of you the box looks incomplete, but this is how I intend it to look like.
I said in the WIP thread that this might just be my last box ever. After today, I realised that I guess the question is still up in the air. As much as I think I'll need to move on in my life, maybe even do graphic design professionally, who knows? I'm as clueless as all of you, hahaha. But I love this site too much, I've grown here.
Anyway, enjoy this! I'll upload a printable if you guys want it.

I don't really like it, sorry. The front is just a screenshot and the back is just a wallpaper. I see that you were going for a somewhat clean style with the back, but it doesn't work for a Killzone box, and it kind of just seems unfinished.

Maybe it's just my monitor, but the front seems quite dark when compared to the back. I think brightening up the front would make the entire package look a lot better. Of course you're typography is great as always, and I personally like that you didn't clutter the back with a synopsis when it wasn't needed.

As 2 edited Killzone 3 wallpapers, they're great. As a box? Not so much. I'd love these as wallpapers, they look great

#8, stupid and ignorant? I stated my opinion. I don't like the design. You're basically saying that I HAVE to like the design, which, ironically, is extremely ignorant.

Fantastic stuff Dan, don't make this your last. Everything looks really, really good. Glad you went your own way and didn't bother doing summary text. It didn't need it. The decision payed off. Was interesting to see you progress through this box and I hope you make more and more as time goes on. This site needs someone like you.

Typography is really nice on the back, even though the back does look a bit empty. Front is pretty simple but still nice.

They may be "wallpapers" but ELC has justified his use for them, because there is little art, and he's added in splatter effects and saturation and whatnot

Excellent job Dan, the splatters seem a bit heavy in places but it's looking good! Typography is awesome as usual ;)

#11, I see what you mean, but I can assure you, I did not just place wallpapers and add text and screenshots and what not. I took a long time editing, with several adjustment layers and textures.

#20, I know that you did a lot of editing, but I'm still against the idea of using screenshots of any kind as anything more than a little extra something for the background. That's just my opinion, though, and I'm not saying that a lot of effort didn't go into this.

However, I agree with what's been said - there needs to be more info on the back, and the screenshots look like more should be done with them.

This is seriously awesome. I love it when people do white Killzone boxes. For some reason I just feel that white can really have a cold and heartless look as opposed to the peaceful serene look most people associate it with. I think the render on the back looks absolutely savage and I love the splatter work. I agree, though, with everyone who said there should've been a synopsis. Overall though, I really like what you did here, it looks very aggressive in my opinion and I think that fits the game well.

@#2, VGBA stuff can be used as good packaging samples, if you are making a portolfio. No one truly leaves, but it always helps to go on a hiatus when you feel the need to get away from the site for a bit. :)
