I proudly present my 3 year anniversary box - MASS EFFECT 3. :)
This was a fun project to make and I've been working on this for few months, on and off, often changing and tweaking small things around.
I went for a creative approach and not for professionalism with this so some things might be missing, such as anything specific from Mass Effect, such as game characters/renders, description, screens. etc. Ignore those details for now and focus on the design.
As always, I appreciate each and every comment, as well as a favorite if you believe it deserves one.
Oh, and viewing this in full size is a MUST. ;)
Thanks and it's been a pleasure to be part of this website and community for 3 straight years.
I'm really disliking the typography on the back, which also looks very empty, and I se no reason to list the contents list on the actual boxart instead of in the bundle box; and you should try to make the tagline mroe readable, with those chopped A's and H-looking K's I initially thouht it said "Commander Shepard is Bach," what gave me a ral chuckle. I'm also not liking the template (Not Sens', but the inner part, I think it'd be nice if you incorporated that red ribbon-like gradient concept to it. I think the ME3 logo you used on the soundtrack and making of is rather nice, and I prefer it above the one you used in the actual boxart. The EA logo on the front looks floating and out of place btw.
The Official Soundtrack and the Making Of do their job I guess, but my favourite part is the Artwork Book (Why don't you call it "artbook" instead?) which looks rather nice and even when it's kinda generic it gives a deep vibe (Check the reflection, btw). the discs look very nice too, but they're not enough inclinated, judging by the shadows they project ad the fact that (I'm assuming) they're on an horizontal surface.
Very nice box, but I wish you had designed a bundle box too.
This is great work, I especially like the artwork cover. Though, I think that the photo effect on the back is a bit too strong/overused, and also that the typo doesn't really work as well as it does on the front.
#2, Yes, I will upload the template to the Resources section in the near future.
#3, Thanks for an in-depth feedback, Manuel. As I mentioned in the first post, I was going more for an artistic look rather than professional, thus some not-so-common design decisions had to be made.
Something tells me the solar eclipse would have found a better home on the front, giving an epic feel of the trilogy's conclusion. A special edition it may be, but the empty vastness of space isn't the greatest representation of what players can expect of the game.
Artistically, it's admirable, and the inconsistency between logos/arrangement on the various extras is all that really bothers me. Nice work.
#11, I kinda wanted to have once planet on both sides of the cover. The ship maybe would have worked, but again, I really didn't want to include anything that would resemble ME3.
Thanks for those who lest a comment. Appreciate it.

#6, Yeah, you might be right, I haven't played ME game before so I'm not too familiar with it. I just wanted the front to have a mystical feel to it.
#7-8, Thanks!

Pretty cool. I jut think the front could have another planet or something to add a little bit more. Maybe the main ship from Mass Effect.
