So I decided to make an Avengers box, and this is how it came out. I wanted to take the art on the front and make it my own. I'm not sure how well I accomplished that, but I'm quite proud of this box. I also re-did my presentation. What do you guys think?

Back is great, front is just every other Avengers box. It's still great, but I've seen it before. So many times.

Ah, now I see that's somewhat your point.

Lovely! Me like it. :D

Perfect design.

The back is nice, but i dont like that you have taken the official Poster for the front. I see far too many people copy and paste.

Yeah, I rendered the characters out and made every attempt to differentiate my design from the original. I may have put a lot of detail work in that doesn't necessarily show up in the final design.

Not really a fan of neither one of these superheroes that appear in this movie, but this box looks extremely well done and also very believeable (mainly because of the city backdrop)
even for a spider-man & batman fan, I like it ;)
I especially really like the vivid colors against the more greyish background, excellent job!

I see what you did to the front unlike some others. The original had a very blue presence and you managed to neutralize it while still keeping the main characters vivid and well saturated. I really like what you did with the logo, too. The back is awesome, as well, but I feel like the images are clashing a bit. Iron Man and Cap ones look more artsy than the others, making them look better and the others not so much. Regardless, I see the effort put in the box and have to disagree with people saying it's just a copy & paste.
This is phenomenal.

Thanks a lot, man.

Wonderful man, fits the movie well and it's very official looking.

For what it is, it's pretty well done.

The front shares the same flaws as the official poster (Hulk and Cap. America are giants, for example), but the image otherwise works well for a dvd cover and the desaturated colors look nice. The back comes off as something I'd expect from the official cover, with a touch of creativity in the character portraits. Nice work choosing the perfect image for each hero.

Love the back, the front I'm not really a fan of, since I didn't like the original poster much to begin with.

Looks very official!

I don't get it, it's just the promotional posters...
[ Reply ]
It's not even the POSTERS.
It's just one promo poster...
[ Reply ]
Like I said above, I put a lot more effort into it than appears in the final product.

@MattStar Ah, I see.

Congrats !

Thanks everyone for the Hall!

Congrats man well deserved :D

Well the design is great though I'm not much of a fan of grain but my only advice is the typography. You have the first quotation mark inside the frame of the quote and the ending quotation outside of it. It's one or the other kind of thing. The professionals when working in InDesign use a technique to make the first quotation sit outside of the typing frame but not using Photoshop lately for typography I'm not sure how to do it in PS.
[ Reply ]
Oh, I missed that. Yeah, I've used InDesign and I know what your talking about. As far as I know, you can't do that in Photoshop.

very nice one bro :)

Congrats on the HOF! Keep up the great work! =)

You know what I said I was cool with this but I am not. You plagiarized something and got praise for it... It really doesn't matter if you cut out the characters and desaturated it a little. Plagiarism is plagiarism.
[ Reply ]
Your one to talk about plagiarism.

@MattStar I didn't claim it as my own/or said I did so but it's cool because I rendered it, plus that's not plagiarism since I didn't copy any layouts for ANY existing works.
[ Reply ]
@mchapra If what I did was plagiarism, yours is even more so guilty. All you did was copy-paste a piece of art onto a template. At least I put effort into making it different. Quit being a hypocrite.

[ Reply ]
@MattStar Oh and no, you didn't you, again, copied a poster. Nothing different here.
[ Reply ]
@MattStar Have you heard of a little thing called "two wrongs don't make a right"?
Yeah I think that applies here. I never denied ANYTHING so I have no idea where you're getting me being a hypocrite for. You however, are trying to pass off copying another layout as your own. That is not cool.
[ Reply ]
@MattStar Actually fuck this. There is no point in arguing with someone refusing to accept a fact.
[ Reply ]
@mchapra When did I ever say this was my own layout? I never claimed that it was my own. If you didn't delete all your old boxes I could show you several more instances when you claimed official work as your own.
[ Reply ]
@MattStar Erm, I believe I never did. I refuse to call my stuff art or design.
[ Reply ]
@MattStar I am not even attacking you, It just bothers me that this has not been pointed out. You're a good at this thing, truly but it just kindof bugs me. No need for hostility.
[ Reply ]
@mchapra You are irrelevant. Goodbye
[ Reply ]
@VEGAS487 You're an idiot.
[ Reply ]
@mchapra Sorry, to me it came off as an attack. And I can see why you'd want to point it out. Thanks for clarifying.
