Metal Gear Solid V box art cover

So my first try at an MGS box, it's meant to be a collection of both MGSV games. I think I did fairly well but definitely not as good as my last Skyward Sword box. I tried to do a new style and different techniques than I usually do so it may not be very very good. I took a bit of inspiration from Guilty Spark's amazing cover. Anyways, hope you like it :)

I don't really feel like the front works well, to be honest. Both Snake renders don't really fit with eachother because they're different sizes and have different lighting and positions that go along with them, and it also makes it a bit repetitive when you have the same character appear twice on the cover. Also, I think you should add an ESRB logo somewhere in there. I like the logo you used, though. It's way better than the official one.

The back's fine, although it could use a bit more interesting structure than the one it has right now, but it's not bad at all.

Overall, it's not bad, but it's not really great either. The front doesn't really look like it flows together properly, and ultimately, and sorry if I'm being a bit too hard here, but it looks like just two renders on a background. But I like the back, even though it's not really that interesting. I think it has potential to be improved, but it's not bad at all.

Sorry if I seemed kinda harsh in any of my remarks, it truly isn't my intention.

I agree with Frank on the front. In my opinion, you should never have more than one render of the same character on the front. Because it instantly kills any sense of realism. Also, the lighting on the two renders are dissimilar so they don't really fit together. I think that Konami should be central as well. I like that logo though.

My main problem with the back is that gap in-between the two screenshots. I think you need to fill in that negative space. Perhaps a render would look good. Also, it seems you have made the synopsis text big to fill in the empty space, and it looks pretty obvious. Honestly I think that text would look better smaller and aligned to central.

Its a good effort but its a little uninspired to be honest. Try and put yourself out there, be different and don't be afraid to just go crazy with it. I'd recommend experimenting with colours because everything on here is basically in the same state as it was when you downloaded it. Look forward to your future work :)

Thanks for your feedback guys, I understand what you mean. Frank your not harsh you have valid points, same for you Mat. One of my biggest problems with Box arts is space. I always have too much space or not enough space. Like my last box art I didn't have enough space to put a summary. I'll try to be better on my next box art, thanks again
