The essentials are all present, and that's great for a new artist. But there is much work to be done.

First, almost everything on the cover is in low quality. Try and use high quality templates, logos, and other resources found in the appropriately titled, "Resources" section of the site.

Next, make sure you are arranging your layers correctly. For instance, the image of the cover should be below the template so that it looks as though everything is contained by the template. If you do not have Photoshop for proper layer arrangement, try free sources like GIMP and Paint.net.

Furthermore, perhaps try and be more creative than placing a background in on a template. Try multiple layers of renders and logos and whatever else you want to ultimately make a unique and pleasing design.

Like I said, the preliminary work is here, but there is more work to be done so that this can be great quality art. Take a peek around the website, especially in the Hall of Fame section, for inspiration and an insight into some more experienced artists' work.
