Following on from my previous upload, here's not only another obscure title but in some retro packaging.

Thanks for looking!

Big thanks to Reza for the Super Famicom logo.

solid design by itself with good composition and image location but i feel like the weathering looks kind of excessive and not that realistic, like the way the top of the front and the bottom of the back are ripped feel kind of unnatural; there's also this drop shadow going along the borders of the spine on both sides that looks kinda weird. still solid design by itself though, just not the biggest fan presentation-wise

Yo, Frank :) good to see you're still around dude.

Yeah I'm happy with the composition but I do need to practice more with creating effective weathering. I think the presentation has let me down here with it looking realistic - perhaps I should have gone down a 2D presentation like I did here?

As for that drop shadow on the spine, what I typically do in Photoshop is create a line using the shape tool around 4-8px depending on the mockup size and I put on a 8-10 ish Gaussian Blur to create the lighting of a plastic edge. I thought using a black one here may create some depth, but I can see it hasn't come off as well as I'd have liked.

I'll add the non-weathered version as a printable for you to check out and leave some more feedback on if you'd like?

Thanks as always for the feedback mate. I post my stuff on my personal Facebook but it only really gets the odd like as not many people really understand the work that goes into the stuff we make unfortunately.

I've been considering doing speed-art videos on YouTube to help that, but that's just rattling around as an idea currently.

Fingers crossed you post something new soon mate, and I hope you're keeping safe and well through this COVID-19 pandemic.

@BenBrownDesign i think my issue is that in the star wars box the weathering has a better texture to it and was better integrated, the 3d presentation might be making it not look as good as it should as well but i don't think that's the main issue

i still lurk fairly oftenly, i just don't have a lot of stuff to say or to contribute to the site anymore, and i don't really have any inspiration or encouragement to do anything regarding boxart/graphic design in this fashion, them's the breaks i guess. if you're so inclined i believe there's a bigger audience for graphic design and cover art design on instagram, people like @madebymotel for example have a fairly sizeable following, i'd say look around over there if you think that might be a good fit for your style. hope you stay safe as well bud xx
